Dr. Philip DeFina and Alexandra DeFina, MSW, were proud to represent the International Brain Research Foundation at the Salute to Freedom event on May 24th, 2018. The event honored the Fisher family who do so much for our military and to keep the USS Intrepid preserved for all to visit learn about important American history. The Fisher House Foundation is best known for providing a network of homes where militaries families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. Additionally, they provide the Hero Miles and Hotels for Heroes programs which allow individuals to donate their frequent flyer miles and hotel points to aid family members of injured service members to be near them during their recovery process. As a veteran, this organization is very close to Dr. Philip A. DeFina‘s heart.
