I am a recently hired clinical assistant professor in the division of neurosurgery, with a specialization in functional neurosurgery. My clinical practice will focus on the surgical management of movement disorders, neuromodulation in epilepsy, surgical management of trigeminal neuralgia, and adult hydrocephalus. I have a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Calgary, where I focused on using non-invasive brain stimulation and fMRI to modulate macroscale brain networks in clinical populations. I am working to develop a computational neuroimaging research program focusing on neurosurgical populations.

Research Information

I am interested in investigating macroscale neural networks using fMRI in various neurosurgical clinical populations, including Parkinson’s disease, brain tumours, epilepsy, and normal pressure hydrocephalus. I have an interest in investigating the effects of neuromodulation or other surgical interventions on large scale brain networks, and using this information to understand clinical outcomes.
